three act play I’m writing and is representative
of the Vietnam War experience. I’ve tried to capture
the emotions and feelings, the suffering and pain, the
confusion and anguish, and the hardships and fear our
soldiers endured as well as their families."

Three
Soldiers - represents
three different soldiers returning from the war and met only
by family and friends. The first is trying to start a new
life but the memories keep hanging on. The second is just
glad to be home and wants put it behind him. The third soldier
represents a field officer who questions why we were there
and the loss of so many young men.
Walking Point
- with Kevin Magowan on harmonica, reflects the "recon"
experience and the misery and fear associated with being
dropped in the middle of the Vietnam jungle.
Hero
- represents the respect for those who died and the statement
I’ve heard many times by different soldiers. "I’m
not a hero. I’m alive ‘cause I survived. The men
who sacrificed their lives are the real heroes."

Where
Did Daddy Go? -
is for the children who lost their fathers to that war.
MIA
- reflects the disbelief, the pain and the anguish of a
loved one upon hearing that dreadful news.
19…What a Shame!
- begins with "58,000 dead. Average age it was said
was 19. 19…What a shame!" This may be considered
controversial by some because of questioning USA’s
involvement in that war. It is with hindsight that this
song evolved and the question of why still unanswered.
